Delightful dreamer broke her maiden at Woodbine racetrack on may 12, 2022 with Kirk Johnson in the irons. Since that time which seemed so long ago she hadn't won another race until April 17, 2022 in the 2nd race at Parx at Philadelphia.
It was the first time for apprentice jockey Sofia Vives riding at Parx and she made it a winning one which looked completely professional down the stretch. Sofia broke Delightful Dreamer sharply but settled at the very back of the pack watching them all go by her. As the pace picked up Delightful Dreamer was guided by the good hands of Vives all the way into striking position. Turning for home Vives got to work on Delightful Dreamer and earned her money by staying close to the rail all the way and niggled her way past the favorite America's Pride and eventually winning by two lengths.
Sofia Vives now has a record of 17 career starts and 5 first place finishes, 3 seconds and 1 third.
